Google Video

Thanks to info from LazyGeek again, I decided to explore Google Video Beta(!).

Though it can be considered competition to Apple's iTunes, Google puts to use its search dominance. The scale of operation and openness has already led to illegal uploads -- but is there a way out?

The idea of hosting videos on a public site will appeal to people, just as they are able to upload their photos. Someone can post a video of his new-born baby and show it to his folks across the world. Someone with a penchant for movie-making can make a 'short' and let viewers worldwide judge it; maybe, he'll get an interested producer that way! In fact, film-makers have already started experimenting.

Google, as usual, will keep the site in Beta till they're fully done.

I wanted to feature a couple of interesting videos that I came across.

Though not completely legal, atleast this is a harmless mash-up -- making fun of 50 Cent and Rajnikanth in the same parody!

The other one is a rap-type of song in the form of a music video. It's original, despite the theme being similar to Apache Indian's Arranged Marriage. The girl's moves are cool!

Enjoy and experience the power of Google Video!
