Year in photos?

While going thro' LazyGeek's year-end blog item, came across photos from Time and Reuters. Neither of them were fully satisfying, but the Time one was quite disappointing. Firstly, it seemed that Time painted a very bleak picture of the world, though there were indeed a lot of horrible things that happened in 2005. I could even ignore the focus on USA. In contrast, Reuters was more global and had a few pictures of hope rightly. Some of Time's photos were brilliant though, more than Reuters.

Of course, there were others like Rediff.com who came up with a downright silly attempt. But in the end, I did feel that Reuters could be topped.
