Teflon controversy

Today, we learnt that DuPont has agreed to settle for a fine instead of getting into litigation over the Teflon / C-8 controversy. The issue is that this chemical, also known as PFOA, remains in the body and causes cancer (slowly?), if not in humans, atleast in animals. The verdict related to humans is still not out. But this is scary stuff really! Can we use our non-stick cookware henceforth, without worrying? The business impact is analysed here, if you care.
